  • Woodworkers needed - Gun Stock Idea

We can find a huge amount of gun stocks for many rifles but others are left in the dark.
The one they have for the savage MKII from Woodys is the typical garbage they sell so it will need a lot of work anyway.
so I was thinking about a universal design that will work with the MKII and others but separating the inlet cut/work from the actual wood frame.

This means we need to cut the stock and put some round shapes and it would be nice to have an adjustable cheek raiser.
But then in the inside all it has to be is a square space to take a 1.5" square bar that is already machined on the tope where the action sits.

One example but given the inlet is a square tube with just the hole for the magazine and screws.

I would try it myself but I do not have a nice saw and router table. I am willing to do whatever you need metal work wise in exchange in terms
of muzzle brakes, barreling or cambering, etc...

Also use the same idea to pimp one of these air rifles that are great to shoot in the residential areas and pop squirrels where not even 22LR are allowed.

Archer has very inexpensive kits to convert these guns in bolt action repeaters and can go for up to 400 shots / per air fill with paintball cartrige and up to some very respectable 700fps
    for a 5mm pellet and 650 for 22 caliber.

    I like this stock...

But would like one that covers the archer repeater kit ....

    Scope and rings not included.

    Archer conversion...

The kit is so simple everyone should have one of these air rifles. The chipmunks are moving out !! lol

I wouldn't mind helping you out with this but would need some pretty good specs and some of the details would probably need to be finished by hand...

        Thanks C!!.
I was hopping to put some measures together and perhaps do a quick scrap
in cheap wood with someone local kind of on the fly.
So to be clear you mean a blue print with every measure right?
I think the inlet part is easy because if I send the piece of aluminum bed that goes inside with
the actual action holes in it that should be easy to test right?

I want to make a grip flat and then use 1911 covers for the sides that way it can be increased or reduced. makes sense?

Not necessarily a blue print but a good sketch with critical measurements would help, LOL...
