After a few conversations this weekend, I can't help but laugh at the people who think the US military will put down any insurrection that might occur in the future. If the people decide to make a stand, the biggest opposition will be law enforcement. I'm not even sure how many LEOs would be on board if it came to that.

The exact reason the Founding Fathers were vehemently opposed to a standing army! A militia comprised of The People is the best deterrent to a military coup and also the reason why a Citizen's RTKBA must include "military style" weapons.
