I didn't know that the AG could create law. Interesting. I must have missed the day in school that they covered that part.

So...........does this mean that all 1911's, Mossberg 590A1's, Beretta 92's, and any other common civilian firearms are now considered "Copy or Duplicate" and therefore prohibited Assault weapons? How long before Elmer Fudd's Remington 700 becomes a "Copy or Duplicate" of a prohibited Military Sniper weapon?

Militia's from all over the surrounding states responded to the Lexington Powder Alarm of April 19, 1775. Should any Patriots in Massachusetts decide to sound a Powder Alarm in response to this latest assault on the citizen's natural right to self defense, I would be happy to respond in support.

I hope the people of MA don't stand for this clear violation of their rights. So tired of seeing Gov't overstep their boundaries and ignoring the law.
"I see Nuthhink..... I know nuthink!!!!!"

                I still have problems.

Let's see if NY and CT follow suit or if the MA gun owners give this rouge AG a big FU.

It sounded like she is just telling manufacturers to stop sending them into state , is that right?

Kind of appears that way. She's pissed that they found simple work-arounds to a law that was written by a bunch of dumb chits that know nothing about firearms, same thing we did here in NY with the "SAFE compliant" AR's.......going to be interesting to see where this goes. I am actually more pizzed off that the NRA and GOA have not filed legal challenges yet.

A challenge to what though? No one has been charged with anything. You have to be injured to file suit I'm pretty sure

If a weapon is a copy or duplicate of one of the models enumerated in the law, it is an Assault weapon. But, as a matter of her discretion as a prosecutor, the Attorney General will not enforce the assault weapons ban against those who possess or transfer a copy or duplicate of a listed Assault weapon, if the weapon was obtained prior to July 20, 2016, when she issued the guidance.
Did everyone catch this part? They're all illegal, but she'll use her "discretion" and not prosecute. Will that change after the next shooting? Will that change with a new AG?

Everyone now needs to bow before her and thank her for her wise benevolence on this matter.
