    Yea I was just reading that article too, the was I see it is to soon after these last couple shootings to attempt any good firearms bills, to fresh in the minds of peeps blaming the guns. Also there's the other article on BBC I just read on Obamas new thought of using the no fly list to stop "terrorists" (or people mistakenly on the list) from obtaining a firearm..so dumb.

      The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.
      The government seems to be ignoring the 19th amendment on pretty much everything. They operate under the premise that they are free to control everything that the supreme court HASN'T ruled on. If our rights are limited only what the supreme court defends in a decision, we're in big trouble.

        This stance by the SCOTUS has paved the way for executive orders against the 2A nationwide!! This was the worst thing that could have happened!! By NOT taking a stand for the US Constitution and allowing a law to remain that bans an action of a firearm only says that the 2A no longer pertains to America. Some may look at this and say "It's only for Chicago" ... really?? It's not.at all. This is worse than the UNSAFE Act rulings!!! Look for the POS muslim in the whitehouse to order confiscation and disarming of America in 3....2......1.

          Getting to the point where I'd actually like to see him try that. People seem to be waking up to his charades. Taking away legally owned and possessed guns from the general population? That would lead to Revolution.

            Well he does publicly acknowledge that he's never going to take away rightfully owned guns from law abiding citizens..at least that's what I read. Will he do his damndest to make it extremely arduous, time consuming and costly for buying new ones? Yes he will.

                    Hey guys why are you so worried.
                    Entire states, counties and towns already have provisions to basically ignore any federal bans.
                    For example in several towns in utah the sheriff's will arrest any federal employee trying to enforce anything in violation any constitution / civil rights.
                    Other states and towns have same or similar provisions.
                    Remember the bundy ranch? That was nothing compared to what this would bexome should they try tyranny by executive order.
                    Imo the union will break unless the central government stops their agenda for disaemament and total control.
                    Trump is a clown but perhaps he can give a break to this broken and polarized country.
                    No doubt obama has been the worse president in history.

                        Not only did I start laughing at the Government for real when SafeAct and gun bans began and, then listened to all the local cops and sheriffs and troopers say they won't enforce most, and they're disgusted about it then hearing it from around the country made it easier to laugh at..but also when we live in a country that has multiple states doing the right thing with Marijuana and have all the regulations set and ducks in a row with monies pouring in from the new "green tax" it's a great beneficial winfall but then you got the Federal government 100% contradicting all the laws and states doing it and arresting and closing businesses. I mean how stupid is this that your legally being illegal criminal?? Get it together and show unity and common sense government, then maybe juuust maybe certain citizens might approve and care and adhere..and I'm not talking about those citizens that pulled out 3 cartridges from their magazines, who ran to register their rifles and who stopped getting ammo delivered..cause those showed where they stand day one..definitely not gonna be the ones walking the streets protesting the marshal law that gets hammered down one day.."marshal law?? Ok sir, I put all my handguns in this box labeled handguns and my rifles are right over here packed up for you sir marshal" sheepies in wolfs clothing i call em.

If you agree that States have the right to legalize MJ even though the Fed say it's illegal and that "the Feds should just get onboard with what the States are doing", you must also agree that States have a right to ban assault rifles even though the Fed says they're OK and that "the Feds should get onboard with what the States are doing". You can't have it both ways.......

                          (not trolling, just pointing out that the argument depends on whether you are pro/anti MJ or pro/anti black rifles)

                            Weeeell I don't give a hoot about assault rifles lol but I'd give a hoot bout MJ and the benefits of it for all the reasons. Basically what I was getting at is how broken the system is

                              Totally agree. The size, geographic, and demographic diversity in the US isn't really suited for a "one size fits all" government dominated by the political class in DC.
