I'd say the basics of self defense: if you can get the hell out of dodge, do it. If you can and you don't, it's no longer self defense.

A lot of people online are commenting that the guy would have been driving blind if he had kept going. Those people clearly don't live where you have to deal with frost on your windshield in the morning.

I wouldn't get out of my vehicle unless it was ABSOLUTELY necessary. Its a shame this guy was baited into an encounter with these losers and got shat on by LE.

Same I wouldn't get out of vehicle either. I would call 911 and stay on line whole time saying how I was fearing for my life. That way if I did have to defend myself with deadly force I have good evidence for my defense
