Man stopped from bringing loaded gun on plane at ROC Airport

And this is how it is supposed to be handled (looking at you, NYC):

".....officers spotted a handgun in a briefcase passing through the checkpoint X-ray machine. The deputies confiscated the gun, a .45 caliber handgun loaded with five bullets, and detained the man for questioning. After questioning, deputies determined the legally-registered handgun was typically carried by the man inside the briefcase. The man told deputies that he had forgotten to remove it before leaving for the airport. The man was allowed to take the gun back home and then flew out later that day without incident. No criminal charges were filed."

How do you forget you're carrying a gun? That's not cool. Carrying in a briefcase is also not cool. Security and RPD handled it appropriately, though.
