Consequences of firearm registration: Assembly Bill A1724

If you registered your firearm under the SAFE Act you will legally only be allowed to purchase ammo of that caliber about 3x a year. At a maximum amount of double the capacity of the firearm (which legally is 10 rounds). So a total of 60 bullets per year at Max.If you buy more than that it will be a class E felony.

    So I'm wondering:

    1) How they will know that the ammo you're buying is for your registered "assault rifle"
    2) How they will deal with the fact that .223/5.56 and 7.62 (39mm and 51mm)/.308 can be used in bolt guns
    3) Do they even know that AR's can be chambered for just about any rifle caliber ever invented?
    4) One word: "reloaders"....how are they going top address those that reload their own ammo?
    5) Who is going to build and maintain the database and share it with every single entity on the planet that sells ammo so that they can be assured you're not exceeding your quota. This proposal is simply impossible, damn these fukkers are dumb.

Some politician in WA state proposed legislation that would require any elected official writing gun legislation first be fully educated by taking required classes and passing the NRA instructor series as well as the mandatory state firearms owner's qualification course. I'm not sure how I feel about this.....while educating these representatives would reduce the amount of completely asinine legislation they are proposing all the time, it would also allow them to begin crafting legislation that could actually screw us (like eliminating compliant workarounds, regulating sale of reloading components, etc.).

        Laws operate on predumptions, thug
.Gov will not care, You went and Registered "your" AR
Now it is presumed that the .223 is for that registered rifle

        Is a Database practical ??
        Who cares ....
A Firearms Card might be next like in Mass
they can just punch it for your ammo purchases
No Soup for You today !

I can see this being used to prosecute someone for attempted CPW just by the fact they have too much ammo

So they're going to punish the people who are doing everything to follow the stupid laws they pass. Punishment is usually used to dissuade someone from a certain behavior isn't it?

Do not register, do not comply! It's time to take a stand.......even if done so quietly and without fanfare.

I can not help the thought that this, if passed, will beget a Firearms ID card, or be tied to that infamous instrument of oppression, the Drivers License

Rest assured, the STATE has a long term Plan of incrementalism

At the current rate, it seems like you could call it short term plan.

If you think this is bad, just wait until the next mass shooting.

It will achieve the desired effect simply by many retailers jut shutting off all sales to NY, similar to the way many did after unSAFE passed. The details are irrelevant to the politicians. It looks like "they're doing something to combat gun violence". That's all they care about.

If you’re not they’d say “my bad” when their “do somethings” don’t do Peshitta, and pull back on their little circle jerk babies.
