  • NRA Statement on Bump Fire Stock Rule

    https://www.nraila.org/articles/2018...ire-stock-rule

Gee, do you think the NRA is facing a huge backlash over their decision not to vehemently oppose a bumpstock ban right from the get-go?

"These devices came to national attention in October 2017 after the horrific attack in Las Vegas. As multiple media accounts correctly pointed to at the time, there was overwhelming legislative support for proposals that went far beyond these specific devices and some that could have potentially jeopardized all semiautomatic firearms. Rather than sit back and watch a legislative over-reaction, the NRA asked Congress to let ATF review its prior determinations on bump fire stocks."

Translation: "Let them have yet another inch......it keeps us relevant inside the Beltway"

"While there can be disagreement on legislative strategy, it’s important to remember that we will soon face a hostile, anti-gun Congress led by Nancy Pelosi."

Translation: "Never mind the bumpstock ban, look over there! Another boogyman! Send us more money!"

As was pointed out elsewhere, when this ban was announced the GOA and FPC filed lawsuits.....the NRA only asked for more donations. I am forced to maintain my NRA membership in order to keep my RSO certification active but I do so under duress, all my extra pesos go to the aforementioned organizations.

Beer is like porn, you can buy it but it's more fun to make your own

I have to bend over too far

    I get a boner.

bareback every couple of days, GTG. Bareback, brokeback, same $hit!

I joined a support group to help me deal with my social anxiety but I just can't seem to work up the nerve to go to a meeting......

    Great writing there, thug. ☺️
I esp liked the part that GOA and FPC filed Suit, NRA asked for more money.

Everyone's in a rush to bash the NRA on this, but I'm not so sure that's the appropriate thing to do. I've gotta do some more reading, but I'm pretty sure there's a bit more to this than the casual observer is considering. But, if my take is correct, the NRA is in a catch 22 situation, while GOA and FPC might not be making the wise move. Time will tell.

        Suits take up DoJ resources
in the 1980's members of the Latter Day Saints individually sued the IRS over denial of tax deductions specific to their Church
Over a 1000 members filed, and .Gov ran out of money
DoJ caved and allowed the deduction
