Went to the range yesterday with Alistair. He picked up his new G17. Shoots nice, for a Glock
I had some trouble for the first time with my EDC. It's a Springfield EMP .40
For the first time I had a fail to feed. Now let me preface this investigation with the fact that I went shooting with this gun 2-3 times and didn't clean it after those range trips. First time I ever did that. Normally I clean after each trip. Could this have played into the FTF? Only happened once, but there were about 2-3 other times after my shot, the cycling of the slide, and the feed into battery was not smooth. I'm very in tune with my gun and someone else might not have noticed this, but I did.
In addition to the above, I examined a number of the spent casings and there is an identical minor dent on them. See the pic below for a visual.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
