Define 'long shot' and what kind of chamber you have.

I'm a poor, so for service rifle competition I use CCI 400 primers to ignite 24 grains of Varget behind Hornady 75 BTHP bullets in a Wylde chamber. That will get you out the 600 yards with a muzzle velocity around 2700fps.

Can't justify the price for Sierra bullets.

I shoot them at 400 yards near the Mt. Morris exit. I think it was 6 minutes of elevation from 200, but don't quote me on that.
