Is there information suggesting there will be an option other than mailing?

There is not but they offered online registration of "assault weapon's" so its reasonable to assume they will offer it for this. Plus it cuts down on man power not having get the mail, open it and enter it into system and verify it.

        Bump.

That 2018 renewal deadline is going to be here before we know it. I'm guessing we'll be seeing more news coverage about it.

How fast can Trump get a national reciprocity bill signed? If he manages to get such legislation passed within the first 6 months he's in office, then why would any New York resident mess around with a New York state permit that needs to be renewed every 5 years? Get a permit from Pa, Florida, Nevada, or any other state that you can and never have to worry about renewal.

anyone remembering my postings on NYF, I had elucidated much of the actionable content of the SAFEcrap

            then ..
NYShooter bailed out on me...presumably because he couldn't find any money attached to it

Yeah, ALL those lawyers that assured us all that they were on top of everything bailed on all of us. The state ***** slapped them like a naive child. What a bunch of pathetic litigators they all were. Even I, not being a lawyer, saw where that was headed. I still gnash my teeth at the thought of those fools that begged our trust on a weekly basis.

Because all of the language I have seen around national reciprocity specifies that if you have a permit to carry IN YOUR HOME STATE...........

A lot of people don't even know about this, or think it's a hoax

A lot think it doesn't apply to them.

This is going to be interesting come the end of the year.

                      Anyone up for a psy-op?

How do we spread some "fake news" that says the permit renewal deadline is "fake news"? Or perhaps we could all spread the word that Cuomo's memorandum of understanding about the ammo background check system also eliminated the pistol permit renewal requirement.

a stunning bunch of Turtles there ...

at some point they will be in for a shock ..
their Property is jointly owned by themselves, and the STATE

                        they have "legal" Ownership --
which consist of Possession, and the right of Use

                        the STATE

well, they have acquired the right of Disposition of the Property by the Authorization to possess such by the P.P.

just like the "Certificate" of Title for your " motor vehicle"
                        go google "certificate"

I'm very curious to see how this year progresses and whether or not we get some questions about the process answered. I'd love it if the pistol permit renewal % was about the same as the rifle registration. Connecticut already showed us how it's done. Would we be able to live with ourselves if we got shown up by Connecticut?
