Hopefully this is a case of "too little, too late" and we get a SCOTUS decision that mandates strict scrutiny in regards to any/all laws that even remotely infringe on the 2A. I'm thinking the fact that NYPD still requires weapons to be unloaded while being moved and the ammunition must be carried separately (that part of the rule will not change) is still a major infringement.
Licensed gun owners in New York City will soon be able to legally transport their firearm to a second home, business or any other place gun possession is permitted. These rules change were announced by NYPD Friday, 4/12/19, The changes are expected to go into effect after a 30-day public comment period starting next week.
