  • Primary ARMS MD-06... What do I do with it?

I needed up getting one of these Primary Arms MD-06 red dots in a box with a bunch of other sites etc. I believe the mount it's in (Knights Armament I believe) is worth more than the optic itself. I mean, I have every damn optic on the planet (Acog, H-1 and PRO aimpoints, vortex viper, etc....) but not quite sure what this little cheap thing is good for. It's weird that I can see the emitter in the site picture which is annoying but little bugger seems sturdy enough.

Anyone have one and care to say what you have it on? Maybe throw on a shotgun or my AK? Was looking for something to put in my MPX besides the irons that are on it. I think the dot is 3MOA. It's def an older model by where the controls are.

Any input or ideas would be great.

    C,
It should be good for a shotgun to sit flush just on top of the rail.
It is a shame when people demanding tolerance, have no tolerance

That's what I was thinking. I mean, my Saiga AK came with a forend rail which may be halfway entertaining to try.

Sounds ds like I may just HAVE TO blow through some Ammo.

I would try scout style first and then if that doesn't work you have a small rail that can go on front of the AK sights. I forgot the name but it is a small cantilever that you get behind the sights. I am saying because I have seen several red dots installed this way. They seem perfect for small optics / red dots.
I still think a saiga can use a x1-4 or x1-6 scope. They are fairly accurate, specially the 5.56 and 308.

For the AK I have both a dustcover with rails and the traditional sidemount failed scope mount. Eh, we will have to see. However, when I got it, where the wood furniture would be for handguard, it has a quad rail.

Love that AK. Had a Wasr10 back in the day but this thing is pretty accurate.

I have 2. One on an AR and another on a bolt action 22 mag. Both have worked flawless for a few years now.

If you make it a point to look for it you can see it. You cant see the red that makes the dot though just where it comes from. Doesn't bother me
