  • Optic suggestion for 10/22 LVT.

Thinking of picking up a Ruger 10/22 LVT. I would like to scope it. Looking at something decent for a decent price. Something in the 4-12ish power range. Also should I go AO or is non AO ok???

    Considering this redfield. Thoughts???

I love my nikon efr. Its at home on my CZ 455 Varmint. I may go that route again. I wish they made it with just a little more power though.

I think he is just messing with you lol. What are your intentions with the rifle? That will dictate what you really need as far as a scope. I also like Vortex scopes as well in the affordable range.

For something that short you could honestly probably go with anything. Its a .22 so recoil isn't going to be bad and out to 50 yards. This looks like it meets your requirements at a decent price or at least cheaper the the Nikon EFR http://www.amazon.com/BSA-3-12X40-Co...ds=1-12x+scope . Good luck on your search.

I've got a Nikon rimfire scope that I bought off someone from the other forum that I'm not using. Welcome to borrow it if you want to see how it works. Let me know I'll drop it in mail on Sat if you want to try it out. You can hold onto it for a while too as I have no plans for it at the moment.

I've had a few of those bsa contenders before. They are not a bad scope for the money. Looking for something a little better though. I have a Nikon efr now and really like it but want just a little more than 3-9.

Thanks for the offer Chris but I think I'm all set. I have had a few of the nikons before and know I like them.

This is what I have on my Ruger 10/22 Nikon PROSTAFF Rimfire 3-9x40 Matte Scope, BDC 150 and I love it work beautiful I have nothing bad to say about it

                        Clarence
I could probably could get away with a 52 inch shaft but if I could get a 54 inch shaft that would be great as I could always adjust the length of the shaft

if Grutt is talking about the P22 he picked up from me thats a damn good scope on a rimfire, was just a bit have for a lightweight 10/22 but i bet it would sit nicely on an LVT

You def need a CZ. They are the best bang for the buck out there!!!! Get a 455 varmint or a 455 FS if you like full manlicher style.
