That is pretty cool! Without looking into the laws for specifics I would say it's illegal. My reasoning is that I believe pistols over 50 ounces are assault pistols and illegal so unless it weighs less then that or they changed the law on accident with the SAFE ACT .

Very cool. IANAL and it does seem a little grey, but IMO that is just an upper. With the fixed stock option and the glock not attached each piece is gtg. The barrel is over 16", so as a rifle it isn't illegal. Obviously the glock is legal.
Transport them to the range separated and I'd think you would be gtg. Quick assembly at the range, plink away, separate, go on your way.
