A Good Day At The Range!

Went and sat at the range for a few hours today. No one was around so it was just me and the wood stove. I brought my newly acquired Mossberg 144LSA and the S&L that I finally got a quality rear aperture for. Only downfall was I had the wrong size front aperture and forgot the extras :-(. Oh well she still proved to shoot pretty good at 40 yards with the wind in my face.

Why is it every time I see a picture of a mini-windowed shooting station I'm reminded of a outhouse and start looking for the Roll of TP on the wall???

good shooting wildman. it's getting a little hard for me to shoot well with iron sights, the eyes get worse with age. 2 nice guns you have there.

Why is it every time I see a picture of a mini-windowed shooting station I'm reminded of a outhouse and start looking for the Roll of TP on the wall???

I always think about 2 things..1 being: watching that clip the went around of the guy who shot off a bigass caliber with most of it still inside the building (can u say deaf and dumb..eh??)
2nd I think of the stink of dirty ammo rising up through the the nostrils and coughing it up for the next 24 hours like an indoor range with bad venting does to you..yup I'm a fan of fans of outdoor ranging, but as usual il take whatever i can when momma nature acts up.

WM, that target was obviously from the clearance section, it was missing the 'X'.

Those windows huge. They have smaller windows that open in them for shooting or spotting when its cold out. There is plenty of ventilation in there and I had the fan on.
