Do you guys use your firearms in the rain?

Seeing what the consensus does..I know so e of you wash your guns with water but wondering if you worry or don't worry about targeting in the rain (obvious how it will change accuracy with wind etc) but i just mean the rain. just curious if all is good or not.

As long as you clean it and dry it afterwards I see no problem with it...... Assuming your not out there shooting in rain for extended period of time lol.

firearms must be well dried cleaned and lubed after being in the rain.
There are some that are built for that purpose so they use ss barrels and actions like all weather hunting rigs.

The last time I use my gun in rain or snow was a very long time ago when I use to hunt,after I got home I went through it with my gun cleaning kit and made sure it was dried up but a also made sure make it has a nice thin coat to help preserve it..That is one thing I like to do with my guns is to make sure there cleaned and dry from water,I go through all my guns whether I used them or not once a week cleaning them,I guess I may over do it but I like to make sure there in good condition and working order..

Thank you alls. Im not a hunter and never took any of my handguns or longs out in bad weather..but now I will tomorrow with no fear (hey, put Talons on my 9 for a reason)

Good to hear. Just clean it and dry it when you get home and there will be no issues, oh and get photos of target!

I will, as long as they stay open. Facebook page says "if we open" someone will answer the phone by 1130. If not then i go 20 mins the opposite direction to a "protected from rain" range half i side half outside, but I prefer my Wooster journey were I get to bring my targets and spinners..

Rain, snow, doesn't matter to me. Sometimes I don't even clean them. I should say, however, that nothing I shoot is anything special/expensive. The most I've spent on a gun was for my Glock. I think it was $550-ish, so I don't feel bad if they get wet or beat up.

I shot trap in a downpour years ago. It was so wet the shells had to be ejected manually because the moisture would make them expand when fired. Keep your barrel pointed down so it dosnt fill with water lol!

I hate hunting with my gun, or bow in the rain. It really takes a lot of cleaning afterwards to make sure that you dry all the areas that could be effected. Forced air is a good thing to have to blow any water out of hard to reach places, but I usually take the stock off and use QTips soaked in oil.

What about the ammo? While im shooting my other ones..should I be keeping extra care to cover all the other Xcaliburs from the wetness?

I would but my son has a scout camp out later and he wasn't feeling well yesterday so don't know if it even going to happen. Would love to shoot at you when I get a chance! I mean with you lol!
