Walmart is in the process of clearing out their ammunition inventory, and it's going fast. Stopped by the Walmart in Henrietta and bought all their 45acp ammo for 17 cents/round. They didn't have any 9mm left. The range ammo is getting cleared out but they still have some defensive ammo. Henrietta still had a bunch of rifle and shotgun ammo, along with some .38 special and a few other pistol odds and ends.
The Walmart employee who opened up the case for me said that a guy came in yesterday and bought about $2k worth of ammo and left the store with a shopping cart piled high with ammo boxes. He said they didn't have any more inventory in the store besides what was on the shelves, and they're probably not going to be getting a whole lot more delivered, but they don't really know for sure.
