  • Prescription Safety Glasses?

Anyone use them? I normally just wear my regular glasses for shooting or anything else I might need eye protection. Anyone have prescription safety glasses or thoughts on them?

Yeah I have them for shooting clay birds. Different color lens for different light condition but my main reason to get them was I caught a ricochet while pistol shooting right in the eyeball. Broke a whole mess of blood vessels but luckily that was it. My regular glasses are on the smaller side and when looking down there was enough space for the fragment to come through. Not anymore! And because I wear bifocals he set me up with one lens for my dominant eye that I can see the front sight clearly and the other lens is for distance. It’s really kind of strange wearing glasses like that, especially since I won’t wear them out on the street every day.
I got mine from a guy in Webster. He’s a big shooter also and when you go for your appointment he wants you to bring your guns. So I brought shotgun rifle and pistol read into the office.

Yeah I'm trying to find a style I can use for shooting but also for work. My job offers $100 towards prescription safety glasses. Have to be impact resistant, have side shields, and have ANSI z87.1 .
