Lol it works both ways... if you run out of ideas on how to save money too. lol the issue in order to save it you have to spend it in toys (typical husband justification to buy more)It is a shame when people demanding tolerance, have no tolerance

Yes, I agree with you.Originally posted by Meketrefe View PostThe AR with the FRS stock is fully functional and NYS legal and the best option in either pistol or AR calibers no matter what anyone says. If one doesn't like
it is a different story but in terms of functionality, versatility and value is the best deal.
Someday, I will own an AR. I don't plan on staying in this state any more than a few years, and so I've made a conscious decision to not bother buying a NY compliant AR. I will wait until I move, and then I will buy a fully featured rifle, the way it was meant to be. In the meantime, I am pissed off, and like to find ways to get around the fuac laws in this state.
WOW! I mean, WOW, Meke, you have outdone yourself with this one! If only I had the skills and tools to do this. If I could only like this 1000 times. That is pure sex right there. Build one for me, pretty please? lolOriginally posted by Meketrefe View PostOther than that, try a suomi or sten vertical mag conversion. Those are fairly easy in semiauto with wood stocks available but you need to order the
new receiver and parts kits...
These guys have everything...

Yes, if I decide to abandon this particular idea, that is probably the way to go.Originally posted by Meketrefe View PostI would consider a NY compliant citadel M1 style before I burn the money on a sub2000 or hipoint.

Again, I agree with you 100%. I personally detest a pinned mag anyway. It offends my sensibilities in a semi-auto. Don't get me wrong, I understand 100% why some people do it, and I don't fault them one bit for it, but I won't do it.Originally posted by Meketrefe View PostAnother way is a NY compliant TCM bolt action rifle that people have been converting to 9mm very inexpensively..

Any of those options including the bolt action better than a pinned magazine in a pistol caliber.

BUT THAT STEN!
Boner time!

Pin the stock and cut the bottom of the trigger guard out. Done! (They make a fixed stock model too)Originally posted by Pissed Off Patriot View Post
Nice. Yeah, that's more than I can comfortably spend. Also not sure how I'd make that compliant to own anyway.

I'm not sure I understand. If I cut the bottom of the trigger guard out, don't I end up with a pistol grip, which still makes it illegal?Originally posted by thughes View Post

I would argue that it is no longer a pistol grip but merely a very large trigger opening. Or get some kydex and fill the area under the trigger guard. Either way, Momma ain't letting you spend that kind of coin so the debate is moot.Originally posted by Pissed Off Patriot View Post

I asked about those mech tech uppers before and the general consensus i got was it was also a no go. How are you saying its legit cause I would do it.
I would love one of those 22 tcm rifles. Been wanting one for awhile now but haven't been able to get one. The 9mm conversion seems pretty cool too. I would use it as a plinker anywaysThey can't stop us let them try. For heavy metal we will die!!!

Filling it in makes more legal sense to me, but yeah, moot point. Mrs. POP would pop her top.Originally posted by thughes View Post

However, I'd move heaven and earth for that STEN MK5, and deal with the consequences (probably for a really long time). That is something you won't see anywhere!"I ask, Sir, what is dinner? It is the whole chicken. To pluck the chicken is the best and most effectual way to prepare them."

no grip = compliant.
then in order to grab it the magazine must be in otherwise is difficult. but you need the magazine to shoot anyway right?

We don't have to cut everything, just one piece of cheap polymer. Everything else is intact.Originally posted by Wildman View Post

In the AR the A2 grips are cheap or virtually free. One day might come with the cereal boxes.
Plus we are following the president's advice... we have to make some cuts!It is a shame when people demanding tolerance, have no tolerance

I stopped in my local gun store today. They actually had a Beretta Storm on the wall for $599.
In the "law enforcement only" section. LOL....
THEY DON'T KNOW ME VERY WELL....

I was referring to the "LEO only" designation. I see the signs at gun shows and wonder whether or not enough LEOs attend the shows to justify the table space.
