  • Free fireclean samples

Guys and Girls - I have some love on the way from my friends at Fireclean - I will be giving out FREE fireclean samples at the next few classes to each student (while supplies last). It's a great product and the Fireclean Brothers Dave and Ed are good people! There is a reason why US special operations units are using their product. I have used it on SBR's, full auto guns and pistols and I like it. It is also odorless and non toxic. Make sure to check them out and support a good product by good people.
Fireclean, Seal1, Froglube, Slip 2000, Slip EWL, Breakthrough Clean, Breakfree, Ballistol, Weapon Shield, Weaponshield, Remoil, Magpul, BCM, Glock, Fireclean,

Has anyone here tried this stuff? I'm still using old school methods/ products Hoppes and 3in1 oil. I feel like I might be missing out.

I have used it on pistols, full auto m4's, sbr's and it has worked fine for me. It also doesn't smell like some products do. I ran my Glock 19 gen 4 at rogers shooting school for a week without cleaning it - 2,200 rounds not one malfunction.

All good stuff thank you. I have an AR I have to keep super wet to keep from getting light primer strikes. I haven't taken the time to properly diagnose the root cause yet. I just did what my military training told me to do add more lube when in doubt (assuming clean rifle).

Any experience using the stuff on a 1911? I pushed mine this past season for about 400+ rounds over a course of 4 months until I started getting malfunctions. I did this just as a reference point to myself. I don't think it was the round count that got me either. I think sitting dirty between shootings is what did it. I don't know if I picked up moisture or what happened.

So long story short I guess it's time to modernize.

What kind of AR? Was it clean?

Yes, I have used it on my Wilson Combat 9mm and my Nighthawk .45 - zero issues. Remember 1911's like to be run wet and obviously keeping them clean is important - definitely not like running a glock!

It's an upper that was built bye Primary Arms, the lower was self built. The AR was clean and lubed with 3 in 1 oil, I admit this isn't the best oil for the job. I'm a big fan of motor oil for AR's but I didn't have any on hand for this cleaning. I really suspect it could be an out of spec firing pin, but without measuring I can't say for sure.

I try and stick with proven brands - Colt, BCM, etc. sometimes you pay more, but the saying "but once cry once" has a lot of truth to it

No argument here. It was my first out of the service AR and was a fun project. Then the Safe Act hit before I could break the damn thing in. I've learned a lot since then and if I were to do it again I would definitely go a different route.
