Colt's newest product is to bring back the model 1903. What the heck? Where's a polymer framed modern pistol? Where's a modern series of double action wheel guns? If Ruger and S&W can make them why can't you?
Too long Colt tried to exist on government contracts without the innovation and R&D that must be done to compete.
I want to know why the hell they won't start manufacturing Pythons again. God, I want one of those guns so badly but don't want to pay the prices that USED ones command.

The reason is that the craftsmen who built, fitted and finished the Python are no longer there, have grown older and retired or moved on elsewhere. From what I have read to manufacture a Python in the the same quality, if they could, would cost so much, they fear none would be sold.
But, I don't understand why a modern version, CNC machined and finished, could not be made. I think that Python finish and bluing is the prettiest I ever saw but a good revolver, maybe not with the same but close enough fit and finish should be made.
I own two swing out Colts myself. It's a shame they might disappear.
Agreed. Those revolvers are true works of art. Maybe not every detail needs to be there, but even something approaching that quality would be a great seller for the higher end wheel gun enthusiast, imo. Especially with the Walking Dead being so popular and that is the sidearm of the main protagonist I bet there would be a waiting list for one. Again, simply my opinion, but that alone could help get Colt out of the hole. Hell, I'd shell out a grand or more for something like that.
