  • Kustom Concealment holsters

I have found OWB to be my preferred method of carry. After trying several different brands/types, I came across a Yankee Marshall video (don't judge me!) reviewing a Kustom Concealment (KC) holster. Kustom Concealment is a dude that goes by the name of AC out of Kennesaw, Georgia. Most of his rigs run @ $75 shipped. I've bought several from him over the past couple years and have always been more than satisfied.

That being said, there are a couple of complaints I have but neither have to do with the quality of his work. Might as well get them out of the way up front:

The first is that his preferred method of communication is email: you drop him a line or fill out the webform and he responds, you go on from there. In the early days before word got out, he would respond within a few hours to emails. These days it seems he has become very busy and emails may go a day or two unanswered. I'm OK with this as a repeat customer because he does such good work but it may turn off a new customer. When he first started out the only way to contact him was via the comments section on his Youtube channel so I guess email is an improvement.

The second gripe I have is that he offers a wide variety of choices in patterns, colors, and graphics but there are no pictures/samples of what they are....only descriptions. He does have some good product pics on his web site and a bunch of videos on his channel so you can get an idea of what the colors/graphics look like but I wish there was a color/pattern chart on the web site.

Now, on to the good stuff.

I have KC holsters for my XDS, Sig Pro, G26, G30, and now the Sig 1911. I just received the holster for the Sig 1911, it took a little over 3 weeks from shooting him the $ via Paypal to it showing up in my mail box (which is about average for all the orders I've placed with him).

All but the 1911 holster are model CX4.5 in the black carbon fiber pattern:

I wanted something a little different for the 1911 so I went with Kryptek Typhoon pattern:

I chose the CXT model for the 1911 and am not disappointed. It rides very high and really tight to my body, makes hiding a substantial hunk of metal pretty easy. As with all the other KC rigs I have, a loose flannel or Hawaiian shirt (depending upon season) covers nicely.

The last couple of times I've ordered from them, he has included a thank you gift. Last time it was a kydex belt clip sheath for a Ka-Bar TDI (which I didn't own, so I had to go buy one.....thanks a lot Bro). This time around it appears AC was in a Holiday mood as he included another complete holster! I'm not sure which model it is but it's a combat-cut tactical holster for the 1911. I am definitely a satisfied customer.

In closing: If anybody is looking for a quality kydex holster, drop AC a line and see what he can do for you.....you won't be disappointed.

Beer is like porn, you can buy it but it's more fun to make your own

I have to bend over too far

    I get a boner.

bareback every couple of days, GTG. Bareback, brokeback, same $hit!

I joined a support group to help me deal with my social anxiety but I just can't seem to work up the nerve to go to a meeting......

I've seen a number of these holsters for various pistols as I shoot with Thughes often. He's spot on with the write up on how well they fit and conceal. If I ever decide to go OWB for my carry position then KC will definitely be getting the nod.
