    Sig Sauer 22lr conversion kit

    Couldn't resist the $100 off + free shipping so I ordered a 22lr conversion kit for the 1911. Haven't been to the range yet so function report will be forthcoming, in the meantime here's the basics:

    Sweet. I have a .22 conversion on a .45 1911 frame and love it. I want to go the other way and buy the .45 conversion kit, ha, ha...

      Does the mag fit standard or do you need to install some sort of filler piece for lack of better word?

        You've got a P238 too, right? They make a kit for that....I bet it's a lot of fun plinking tin cans with a little P238/938 in 22lr.

            All metal, German-made, full-size, high quality magazine, no adapter nonsense needed.

                      Just keep it off the frame when traveling or out and about unless you get your permit annotated as such, just to be on the safe side. I have multiple 1911's in multiple calibers and it took several attempts to keep them straight even though I did an excell spreadsheet for my permit update after my buddy passed and bought up a bunch of his stuff.

                        The whole registering multiple caliber conversions for a single pistol is ridiculous and NYS can puff my Richard if they think I'm playing that game. YMMV.

                          I had a similar idea as I look at my Steel frame .44 black powder and look at all the .45lc cylinder conversions for it.
