  • Corning Pyrex Lab glass - Soxhlet extractors

2 Sets of Pyrex manufacturer soxhlet extractors .... plus some extras - made up of part numbers 3740-M ( extractor body) 3840-MCO (Allihn condenser) 2 500ML flasks and 1 250ML flask

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soxhlet_extractor " Typically, a Soxhlet extraction is used when the desired compound has a limited solubility in a solvent, and the impurity is insoluble in that solvent. It allows for unmonitored and unmanaged operation while efficiently recycling a small amount of solvent to dissolve a larger amount of material."

I paid an arm and a leg ... They sell new now for a lot less than I paid ... sooo $250 for all of it offers/trades as usual

glass is un-used except for one of the extraction tubes and one of the flasks - both of which were cleaned with isopropyl alcohol and then de-ionized water. Original packages are long gone.
Worked great for making hot pepper extract and pulling oils from lavender and rosemary and the like .

Bell jar not included but might sell it separately

Hahaha - not really what it looks like - It lets you use small amounts of solvent to do long term extractions .... and it can basically be done un attended ...
We used the same set up to make extracts from peppers and my wife used one to pull oils from some flowers and herbs.

Does it come with the starter kit of Meth?? or we gotta get that separate? Cause if not I'll just buy this same kit as this, with Meth aaaand a DVD "Cooking Meth with Beth" from down the road, but good luck with your sale.

That's pretty cool that you guys make edible stuff and real things out of scientific looking glass beakers.

We found it best for small scale production .... extracts from a lot of medicinal herbs , and scents for the soaps (lavender and lemon balm)... some stuff for edibles - the pepper extract can add a ton of heat and you use so little it won't change the flavor ... like wicked hot chocolate cookies... still trying to get pure capsicum so it crystallizes.
