henry's are pretty reasonable brand new and come with a real warranty. i like the marlin 39's a lot but more money. the winchester 94/22's were good but now pricey as out of production. it all depends on what you want to spend and how big of a hurry.

I've read that the Marlin 39 is a great rifle, but a little pricey.
              Looking at a Henry H001 for $280

Will not go wrong with the H001 love mine. Looks like WalMart stopped selling them, they had the best price when I bought mine.

That's a good price as long as your FFL is fair about the transfer fee?

Then he can use the Ganders or big boxers their reasonable but yea my guy is 30$ still it would be 300 total total..still prob cheaper than paying 300ish and then tax or whatever.
