Will PM you, The ride to Alaska was Unfreaken believable. 27 days, 13774 miles, one crash, rode two weeks barely able to bear weight on my left leg, black and blue from the inner thigh to my ankle and right thumb din't work for the better part of a week, pain there quit earlier this month, acupuncture helped there. Amazing what you block out when in the saddle when in the middle of nowhere on 700 plus pound R1200GSA. I laugh now how F'd up I must have looked, limping around taking gear off, trying to upright that thing when you can't grip it, then strapping everything back on with a non working thumb. Nothing better than riding solo, ha ha. Note to self, get a potable bike jack for the pig.

Never stopped at one gun shop, Gods honest truth, 1st time ever, I was on a mission.
Thanks for congrats, I'm still in love, she bought me not one, but two new Stihl chainsaws, I got her Hummingbird guitar and a S&W 442 Airweight.
I must say I love beavers.

575 wet (from the factory). With the crash bars, skidplate, and other farkles as well as bags loaded for a road trip I'm guessing it's 625+. That's a lot of pig to try and pick up if it decides to pin your leg to the ground when it goes over.

Still pretty svelte for a water cooled 1200 !
Certainly not in the sub 300# range of my 650's
But they are simple machines with limited suspension travel

Seat beads keep air moving under you when warm and from pooling water after 14 hours of rain and waterproof gloves aren't. Made the run to Deadhorse and back to Coldfoot, they claim majority of riders don't do it unless favorable conditions, next time tell my before we go, not that it would have made a difference. They closed to road behind us to traffic till later that evening, no services and no help, a tankful gets you one way, you get there or you don't, no turning back, perfect, that's why they call them Adventures. 2nd photo is down south towards Valdez. I call the scenery there Bonerific, most my pictures are too big to post and I'm not smart enough to resize to post.

Going back the summer of 2020 with the wife, a toy hauler and a pair of DRZ's, her retirement present, we'll come back when there is snow in the passes. Ride north my friends, open spaces, speed limits mean nothing and you have to look for a cop, ha ha. PS, triple digits are obtainable everywhere, but when you run out of suitable surface, it happens quick, pucker factor it high and remember no help, really, no help. As they say, most times the crash don't kill you, it's the wait and the bugs, round rubber thingies down.

The SS Rem Model & is gone, went on the Campfire

The Marlin 783 is gone to one of our own on here.

Lets get more action on the marketplace on here, dig boys dig. I'll make a list of stuff I have when I'm up in Wells. Lets go back to swapping goods instead of just selling. If someone is looking for something PM me, equipment, ammo who knows, great way to meet people and have a little fun. When warmer weather comes, a good reason for a bike ride.
