            A buddy of mine has a few on Gun Broker, but a lot of those guys are collectors and not shooters thus reflected in the asking prices and reserves. I'm a shooter and hunter and can afford fair market values and willing to pay for the odd caliber.
            And yes, the .358 is a under rated caliber that performs well above what pretty charts, graphs and paper would lead one to believe. The .284 and .300 Savage also fall into those categories, and I find the old time rifles and cartridges more appealing.

              you got that right. Most underrated calibers right there. The 284 is the baseline for the super popular 6.5-284 while the 284 outperforms the 6.5 variant at anything.
              The 358 can put a 225gr nosler accubond @ 2550-2600 fps that puts the same punch at 200 yards as the parent 308 at the muzzle.
              The 308 itself was designed based on the 300 savage. Modern brass in 300 savage is pretty much 308 performance in a tad shorter case.

                  Different toy I picked up is a BLR in .325WSM.

                  The 180 grain BST bullet has a catalog muzzle velocity (MV) of 3060 fps and muzzle energy (ME) of 3743 ft. lbs. The 200 grain Accu-Bond bullet has a catalog MV of 2950 fps and ME of 3866 ft. lbs. The 220 grain Power Point bullet has a claimed MV of 2840 fps and ME of 3941 ft. lbs.
