I read somewhere that a 308 round that is commercially made is to strong. Is this true my friend just bought one and we wanna shoot it lol

I've run both in mine with no problem although I tend to stay with the 7.62 NATO stuff or hand loads. Local stores like Gander or F&S have the Winchester 7.62x51mm NATO 147gn FMJ, Wallyworld may have it too. I would think that as long as you aren't shooting "hot" loads in the Mauser you'd be okay. I'd love to have one of those!Comment
