  • Recieved C&R Permit today

I mailed my C&R Permit out October 31st and recieved it today Nov. 20th. Twenty-one days, just three weeks fron when I mailed it until I got it back. Now it's Game ON, I have tofinish paying off an old Revelation 410 Shotgun as my first C&R purchace. I recieved my Firearms Acqusition & Dispostions Book a couple of days ago. I need to look around for my second purchace, no idea what it might be yet. I like 410 shotgun, old 22 caliber rifles and 1911s.

By saving the $25 FFL transfer and 9% Washington State sales tax, I'll be saving about $4 on my first purchase on the C&R permit on my forst C&R purchase.

If you buy a qualifying C&R at a LGS and they run a BGC on you, that C&R gun does NOT go in your books. It's on his books and your C&R license was not used in such case. I had mine on file at many LGS's but not once would they honor the C&R because it was more paperwork for them to do a FFL to FFL transfer. That little $30 piece of paper will definitely save you money on shipping and such. Congrats on getting your C&R!! A very good place to go is SOG!! The best guns out there as far as wartime C&R guns go. (Southern Ohio Guns) Post up some pics of the goods man!!!

Congratulations to you on acquiring your C&R..
I could probably could get away with a 52 inch shaft but if I could get a 54 inch shaft that would be great as I could always adjust the length of the shaft

Thank you on the Congrats and for answering future questions down the road.
Before checking in to aquireing a C&R Permit on the gun forums C&R sections I asked several local gun guy about the C&R Permit. I got a bunch of answers that were from very uneducated gusses from people who didn't knowa damn thing about the way the C&R works.
Going to various gun forums that have a C&R section I learned a whole lot about them. Now I can call the ATF with any questions I might have.
Some of the things I have been told by some local gun guys are
                      1. All C&R guns must go through a Federal NICK Check.
                      2. The Feds will be knocking at your door several times through out the year to check your books and the guns you have aquired.
                      3. You need to register all of your previously bC&R eligible guns owned in your C&R log.
                      4. You have to have a Firearms Aqusition & Disposition Book that is tied shut with a string.
                      5. All C&R guns bought wheather in State or Out of State must go through an FFL dealer.
                      6. The guns have to be in-operable, ( wall hangers)
                      7. You need a seperate building to house your C&R stuff.
                      8. There's a catch to it.
                      9. If you decide to not renew your C&R permit you have to dispose of all of your C&R aquired guns or turn them over to the Feds when your permit expires.
                      10. You have to have an insurance policy.

There are more things that people who don't know a damn thing about the workings of the C&R Permit System will tell you.

The first Pic is my old Western Auto tube-fed bolt action 22 caliber rifle I bought a couple of years ago at a pawn shop for only $50, the most acurate 22 in the collection.
A group pictures of my rimfires a few years ago, I've add more since.
Target I shot with the Western Auto 22.
I have bunch of C&R eligible guns, Now I have the Permit the collecting will begin.

Ya I'm in Washington State forty miles north of Seattle in a small city of fifteen thousand, Transplanted from the Binghamton New York area. There is so much BS to wade through by mis-informed people who no nothing about the C&R laws. I'm happy to of got into this and should of got this going years ago. Some day I'll get all of my C&R eligible guns togeter for a family picture. I have a nice Springfield M1 Garand that I only shot a couple of times, A bunch of old Marlin & Mossberg 22 rifles that I bought and never shot as well.
