  • Air Rifle Recommendation

I'm thinking of setting up a small shooting range with steel plates/ etc in my back yard to shoot with an air rifle.
Only trouble; - I don't have an air rifle.
Can anyone recommend to me a bb/air rifle that I could use for plinking?

What MS said! I bought a Crossman M4 .177 from them and works great for plinking. Plus it's all black and evil looking
I could be wrong...it's happened before and it'll happen again.

Whatever air rifle you decide on, be sure to post a review after you've used it a bit. I'm intrigued by the newer air rifles with integrated suppressors.

My kids bought me a Daisy pump pellet gun with scope for like $50. I have no more chipmunks

I have a Gamo in caliber 22 that is 30+ years old and is still shooting like day one.
These are full power air rifles that put around 1000fps on a 26gr 22 caliber BB.
I took all sort of critters including crows that were eating my fruit trees and even a small fox.
They even have them with sound dampening, Modern triggers are also so much better.

I don't know. Mine is not made anymore a very powerful (full power) old model. You have to put a lot of effort to break open.
I think they bring them down to both make them easier to shoot and also to be compliant with some ordinances that limit the power.
This seems like a more powerful one close to full power.... it should stabilize up to 20gr pellets. More money of course.

I don't really know but it seems that one of those budget will do the trick for what you want.

Break barrels are LOUD! (louder than a .22 short)
Beer is like porn, you can buy it but it's more fun to make your own

I have to bend over too far

                    I get a boner.

bareback every couple of days, GTG. Bareback, brokeback, same $hit!

I joined a support group to help me deal with my social anxiety but I just can't seem to work up the nerve to go to a meeting......

Yes they are. They one I have makes the solid copper bbs go supersonic.
....Unless one has one of those baffled barrels or a way to put an aftermarket one like some PCPs.

The camo whisper series are quieter and wtih the heaviest BBs are even quieter.

You've used my Walther Lever Action .177 It's quiet for a dual CO2 pellet gun.
Works fine btw. That 'issue' I had was user error :banghead:

Come on over and we'll plink in the yard.
