This particular Czech rifle started out as one of the original Mosins, the M91, recognized for it's imperial era barrel markings and dates. The Czechs cut down the M91 rifle to make the model known as the M91/38. These rifles were not heavily used and are usually in very good condition, perhaps used by border guards.
They are pretty darned rare, with many serious Mosin collectors still not having one for their collection. A database started a few years ago to catalogue these rifles only has barely over 100 examples so far.
I managed to get lucky, and with the wife's blessing, snagged this one. She did mention though, that I have a problem! Another gun. Tell me something I don't know! lol

I can still find a use for my thumb, even though it no longer has a hole to finger.
