    I VANT SKS!!!

    while we wait for the review on the Mosin find from Mr.Thuges I think I need to find an SKS for a project.
    If I find a zastaba or russian in good condition I might save that one for collection but otherwise I can use one all beat up that needs re-barreling
    because I am thinking to re-barrel using the gunner in 17".
    With 10 rounds this gives me the possibility to put 1/2 lb of lead in the air in case we find a T-rex in the woods.

    any suggestions where to look?

        Damn. I should have bought a lot more of these.
        I am glad a i have a stash of M44's in the attic. Their day will come.

          The heavy steel SKS would help with recoil of such an absurd round. I would love to see such a weapon! If you posted a year ago I got my SKS is great shape but it was only $50 because it was missing a trigger, he had two more just like it trying to sell it. Not sure why the triggers were missing in the first place when the rest of the gun was a good shape and bore was pristine, so I don't think it was a "parts" gun.

              I like that yugo but that one would be to keep untouched. It would be a crime to rebarrel that one.

                Does anyone know if they make a wider gas block for the SKS?
                In case one serviced with a new barrel and they wanted a semi-bull one?

                  Oh boy... I just got called for a new integration project and I think I am going to be swamped until Christmas.
                  Not sure why they didn't tell me last month they wanted something by the end of the year. Crazy!
