    Nice looking blonde there! What's the M91/59 specs all about. From the look of it it looks shorter than a M91/30 and longer than a M44.
    The wood does look sweet if that's an actual pic of your rifle.

          Cool indeed. I had to do a little research because I wasn't familiar with that rifle. I guess only 25K of these were made and mostly used for Red Square and Military funerals. Great piece of history for the collection thughes!

            Cut down 91/30, sometime post WWII. No real consensus on which country produced these (Russia, Poland, Bulgaria, etc.), the prevailing train of thought is that they were re-purposed into carbines for action in regional conflicts. Being a cut down 91/30, the barrel is a bit heavier than the M38 and M44 which were actually built to carbine length. Supposedly great care went into producing these, including cleaning up the quality of the original machine work, sanding and refinishing the stock, and smoothing/lightening the trigger and actions. Kind of a cool mystery actually!
