    Thughes (or anyone) talk me into an m44

    ok so I've got every intention of ordering an m44 from classic like yesterday along with a crate of ammo. the only thing is i almost keep talking myself out of it, i mean its a war gun and you have no idea what you'll be getting... i plan on paying the extra 20.00 to get the best of 5 in bore and appearance but i also don't want to waste 250.00, i know i wouldn't be getting something brand new but i also dont want to get my hopes up and not be impressed.

    what do you guys think?

    I think you will be happy with whatever you get from Classic. M44's are fine shooting rifles. Not sure about you getting a crate of ammo though. Haven't heard specifically one way or the other whether they will ship ammo to you, but the Safe Act says no. Good luck!

    That is a NICE looking bunch of meat!

    I can still find a use for my thumb, even though it no longer has a hole to finger.

      rifles going to an FFL as i don't have C&R so ammo is good to go to an FFL. i called and spoke with a very nice southern woman

          Brian ..... those guns may have been war guns BUT .... if they were useless and garbage, they wouldn't have made it through the re-arsenal process and stored away in cosmoline waiting for WWIII. They are perfectly fine and you'll have one hell of a flame coming out the end of that barrel!! Don't forget, these rifles will only go up in value as well. They are really fun to shoot as well. You're buying history ... not just a rifle.

            I got mine from Classic and it's a thing of beauty, stfu and just do it!

                We really need to get the Marketplace hopping...... Maybe just make Gunner57 the Moderator there and make him have to approve new threads? That way he gets first dibs (which he does anyways since he has an uncanny ability to know when people are selling firearms lol) lmao!

                    FYI: My M44 shoots @ 6" left of POA at 50 yards with the bayo folded but dead on with the bayo fixed. If your range has an issue with guys shooting bayo fixed you should probably grab an M38 instead.

                        I don't I have heard anyone complain they have too many rifles.......... usually they just complain about not having enough safe storage!

                              well guys this is on the back burner, i ended up picking up a saiga in 7.62 today instead of the mosin for now. I'm going to apply for my C&R first... figured i had better get one before the new ones are all bought up..
