    Swiss high tech

    Bought a really cool item for my K31so I can school those M1 boys. The sights on the K31 are calibrated in meters which don't translate perfectly to yards. Case in point: at the 200 yard range, with the rear sight set at "2", my POI is an inch or so off from the POA. I have been trying to figure out a way to shim the sight leaf to get the POI and POA to line up. Scouring the interwebbys a while back I came upon the solution: "KORREKTOR" for the Swiss K31 (fine adjustment sight adapter for elevation)






    It simply drops on under the standard sight leaf and secures with a set screw:








    There are 6 "clicks" per turn (0-5) and it takes 2 full turns to raise the sight leaf a full 100 meter increment. Looks like it is calibrated out to 700 meters. It looks to be an issued part but the jury is till out, I need to find a complete manual and get it translated. I don't speak Swedish but it looks like each "click" changes POI 2cm at 300 yards. manual.jpg

    Very cool accessory! Never even knew something like that existed.

      so how does it work? as you dial out it raises the silver bar in the middle which raises the sight? looks like a nice fine adjustment tool. do you loose much minimal sight distance taking into account of the tool thickness?

          That is pretty neat! I'm going to start saving up for a diopter for one of mine. I may have to hunt of of these down for the other.

            Welcome to the shenaniguns Carr! I'd love to have a diopter but to be honest, the gun shoots better than I ever will. I shot 10 sighters at Saturday's match and punched 3 in the 9 ring and the other 7 in the 10 ring (including 3 x's)......and then I crapped out when the match actually started.

              It's a shame that you cannot use it in an "as issued" match!!!
              You can shoot open class or out of class with it.
              Or you could just master your Garand😳

                I figured you'd show up to Peshilta on my parade sooner or later. No worries, I got my hold figured out so I can bang out the X's without the crutch.......we'll talk after the match next month.

                  You are too funny Huggy, I did not mean to rain on your parade. You know that my interest is for our shooters to learn, have spirited competitions and have a good time so it's perfectly acceptable to use the crutch in our matches!!! I just need to record it as "match rifle" for submittals to the national orginazation for record keeping.

                        What, where, and when are these matches you guys are talking about? I'd love to get into some competition shooting, but don't have any idea where or how to start.
