Capitol Building Complex on Lockdown

They've got fences and barricades and checkpoints set up all over the place around the Capitol. I'm hearing they also have at least 30,000 Guard soldiers. What exactly are they preparing for?

There's a "green zone" set up around the Capital in DC.

I'm 3 blocks from the KY Capital building, there's been a helicopter circling every night. Talked to a KY State Trooper on my walk this morning around the Capital Annex, he's hoping things will be quiet this weekend. That said, living 3 blocks from the Capital, I've got a sh itl_oad of 30 round mags (FUAC!) loaded up and ready to go should I need to deal with SHTF.

A bit odd how they jumped straight from "questions about extremists within the armed forces" to "people on a terrorist watch list were in Washington as the deadly riot unfolded". The implication seems to be that there people in the military who are on the "a terrorist watch list".

What terrorist watch list? Is this a new list or an old list? How many terrorist watch lists are there?

Terrorist watch list was implemented by George W. and the ironically-named Patriot Act. I do find it amusing that they are worried about US troops, sworn to uphold the Constitution, pushing back against the incoming administration. Et tu, Brute?

So someone at work brought up great point tonight. With everything that's going on it seems like left is taking advantage of making the right out to be extremists. I saw something about abc going over the history of the NRA flirting with rebellion with armed protests. Again nothing illegal about that but now the left is making it a threat and those who exercise lawful rights are suddenly extremists.

What's interesting and brought to my attention was it's similar to what nazis did. By labeling your enemy as extremists even when they haven't broken the law they are dehumanizing that group making it easier and more palatable to further attack them.

Burn, loot, and destroy sections of most major cities in an organized and internationally funded manner and you're "peaceful protesters" who will be praised by many elected officials. Get rowdy in the Capitol and suddenly it's an insurrection or coup according to every major media outlet. Nevermind who the actual instigators were.

Bingo. We've all seen this movie before and know where it's headed. There are a few differences this time though. One notable difference is the people being dehumanized are armed to the teeth.

Six Capitol police officers have been suspended without pay. At least two have committed suicide since January 6th. The New York times has quietly revised the story of the officer who died (Brian Sicknick) because there is no evidence that he was killed by any sort of trauma sustained during the riot.

The house literally impeached Trump based on the media's fictional narrative instead of facts. The Dems were talking about having witnesses in the senate but killed that idea as soon as Trump's attorneys said they'd call Pelosi and other Dems to testify under oath. Our government is a joke.

The problem with this story is that it is false in all respects. From the start, there was almost no evidence to substantiate it. The only basis were the two original New York Times articles asserting that this happened based on the claim of anonymous law enforcement officials.
