Here's how I would fight vaccine mandate:

First and foremost we need a win. After getting a win then you can fight broader but you need an initial win to get precedent and momentum.

So how do I get my first win and the only win that I personally need?

Easy peasy lol.

Let's ask some questions.

Why do we need a vaccine mandate at work or anywhere?
SAFETY! We do this and get away with it under the guise of safety and liability.

How does a vaccine give you safety?
We develop vaccines to give immunity without having to get the actual disease thereby reducing risk to people because if the disease is sever enough to warrant a mandatory vaccine then the disease has to be bad enough to make the risk of natural immunity not a great choice.

What is a traditional vaccine?
Traditionally we use dead or weak virus to make a vaccine so our body knows the enemy and can destroy it while minimizing the risk of it making you really sick. That's why traditionally we use a dead or weak virus.

So how do I win?
I've already had covid! I already have immunity! If we have a mandate to be vaccinated for safety and we don't use amount of immunity as our standard of what's acceptable then I would ask to see the immunity levels of the first people who were vaccinated. If their CURRENT immunity level is acceptable to satisfy a vaccine mandate then that's the level of immunity needed to satisfy the mandate.

What does that mean?
If I have more of an immunity then someone vaccinated over a year ago from getting the virus (again traditionally we use virus for vaccines) then I by default satisfy the requirement! I only have to have an immunity greatest then the weakest level of someone who was vaccinated with the least efficous vaccine. If we use any other standard then we aren't going by science and it's political and feel good policy. Politics and feel good policy doesn't rise to the standard needed to force someone to get a vaccine they don't want.

I own some of their stock. That said Pfizer seems to have a less then effective vaccine now and it will be the only fully authorized one.

Why is it dumb to mandate vaccines in the US?
Let's think about this for a moment. What's happening right now? Vaccine efficacy is dropping faster then expected and the delta variant seems to be breaking through a lot! People who are vaccinated are having the same viral load as the unvaccinated meaning they can transmit it just as easily.

I'm tired of hearing people blame the unvaccinated for causing the variants. It is a selfish and stupid position to take at this time to blame other Americans.

Why? Because there are plenty of people around the world who want the vaccine but don't have access to it.
??????why is that important? Well of we all get vaccinated in the US and the rest of the world isn't vaccinated then in a year we are back in the same place because new variants are forming everywhere.

What's the definition of insanity?
Do the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

So the world health organization is right. Giving boosters is pointless if the effectiveness is going to wear off and most of the world is still unvaccinated. So you either help the rest of the world get vaccinated (don't forget about animal reservoir meaning that we'll likely never be done with this disease) or you keep forcing America to get vaccinated and booster shots over and over with a technology known to cause inflammation in the body with no studies done on repeatedly getting these types of vaccines over and over until the rest of the world is vaccinated. OR vaccinate all of America or waive those who have been infected recently and shut down all travel into and out of the US until covid is wiped off the face of the planet.

Otherwise we are going to be in this never ending cycle.

I actually wonder if we're seeing the covid surge at a different time of year because delta variant is faster at spreading or if like the science says the vaccine is wearing off?

Either way based on the US and other countries like Israel with 80% of adult population vaccinated it appears this vaccine campaign doesn't stop the virus and doesn't allow us to get back to normal. So again what's the point? If you want the vaccine get the vaccine. If you don't then don't. But to mandate, manipulate and punish people for a strategy that hasn't proven effective at getting things back to normal is stupid.

The surgeon general agrees that it should be our choice to be vaccinated or not. Check out the video in this article . Feel free to watch it since it's short or at about 1 min 50 seconds be said "we all have the right to make our own choices" in regards to getting vaccinated.

Something I've been contemplating.......

The lab leak theory for Covid is pretty much generally accepted at this point. What I don't think we know is the time frames. How long has this gain of function research been going on? How many man-made variants are there in the Wuhan lab?

The entire argument for this kind of research is that there's enough knowledge to be gained that it is worth the risks. So how much do the Chinese (and American) scientists (and military) know about how these viruses operate and what they do?

It might just be me, but I've been operating on the assumption that these viruses are likely to leak out, so Covid19 was probably a freshly created variant when it leaked. But what if they've been experimenting, studying the effects, and fine tuning these viruses for many years and it just finally escaped? What if there was a goal in the creation of this particular coronavirus variant?

I've probably been watching too much Utopia.

So we're officially recommending boosters for people who were vaccinated more then 8 months prior starting at the end of September.

Israel just recently started doing this and based in this article moderna appears to not even be in phase 3 trials yet??? https://www.wsj.com/articles/moderna...hs-11628165429 .

It appears that moderna and Pfizer have only submitted very early data on its effectiveness but it appears they are rushing even faster this time around and they haven't even said that studies have shown it's safe. But they are pushing it anyways.

Maybe it's because I knew about the lab theory as well but when I was sick with covid I couldn't help but think it was man made because of the way i felt it moving around infecting different parts of my respiratory tract ever couple days.

You also bring up a good point about the research that I hadn't considered. Military application.....

Covid is not very lethal. It makes you very tired and body aches and when rapidly spreading hurts economy and puts massive strain on infrastructure including hospitals. It's also been documented that fit people have had lung issues after feeling fine starting to exercise again.

From a military standpoint if you can vaccinate your military then spread the virus in another country you can overwhelm the other country completely then put boots on the ground. If they population is to sick to fight then that's a huge force multiplier and if people are better in a few weeks then your occupation just got easier because people are feeling better after you've taken control.

Found a study that says reinfection is rare and immunity lasts at least a year (thats how long study went for) but says study also ended before new variants came out. Positing this so I can reference it later.

I'm more wondering about the long term effects of the virus. Nobody will know for quite some time. Obviously nobody will know about the long term vaccine side effects either.

I didn't mean to imply US would be invaded but that in general using a virus for that possibility could be done but it would obviously be against international agreements.
it's well known that militaries like options even if they don't think they would ever use it.

Heck we released bacteria in NYC subway system and from ships of west coast to track dispersion patterns so we would know in case of things like that.
