Just a friendly reminder that Sunday 06 September is our next CMP shoot at Springwater.
The Range Safety Brief will start at 9:45am and first shots downrange at 10:00
The 200 yard course of fire will be unchanged from last year:
1). Unlimited sighters in 5 minutes
2). Prone Slow fire-10 rounds in 10 minutes
3). Prone Rapid fire -10 rounds in 70 seconds w/ mandatory reload
4). Sitting/Kneeling Rapid fire-10 rounds in 70 seconds w/ mandatory reload
5). Standing (Off-Hand) Slow fire-10 rounds in 10 minutes
Once again, there will be two classes, Tactical (as you are) and Competition (shooting jacket etc...). You will need 2 magazines, no greater than 10 rounds in capacity. Stripper clips for bolt actions are a help. HIGHLY recommend some sort of shooting mat (something to throw down on the damp grass---carpet, yoga mat etc...) Spotting scopes help immensely!
There should be enough time to run 2 relays during each match, if desired (and if we do not waste time), so plan accordingly (2nd rifle or plenty of ammo).
Spread the word and bring a friend. Just about any iron-sighted center-fire rifle is permitted (it need not be a Garand....iron sighted Rem 700, SKS, Mini-14 etc are fine).
