    Tragedy at Rochester Range

    Sounds like a horrible accent occurred at the GCL. A friend familiar with what happened described it as "....a 'Final Destination' type of crazy accident."

    just terrible. i have been so curious to hear what the heck happened, but "final destination" type of crazy accident definitely helps, so appreciate it. awful

        From what I'm hearing, shooter was told to make ready and the firearm didn't make it all the way into the holster, slipped out, hit the floor, and went off, striking the RO in the chest.

        The fact that a single unintentional shot killed the guy..... is nuts. I've read an account from a guy who was shot dozens of times and lived to tell about it. Fifty Cent was shot multiple times and then recorded a bunch of rap albums.

        On the flip side, I know a guy who slipped and fell in his bathtub and was paralyzed from the waist down from the fall. His neighbors finally found him like 5 days after he fell and now he lives in a bed.

          I have no idea what happened at GCL specifically but I would imagine that even one small-caliber hole in the aorta would cause one to bleed out internally in less time than it would take to dial 911.....their ain't no putting a tourniquet on that.

          bareback every couple of days, GTG. Bareback, brokeback, same $hit!

          I joined a support group to help me deal with my social anxiety but I just can't seem to work up the nerve to go to a meeting......

                so tragic. I think I knew the guy from the old Tuesday's nights drills with RPD although I might be wrong since I get the names mixed up sometimes.
                warfab are you still going to the rifle range?
