Before you buy the rings buy the scope and caps. Then measure the clearance from the scope that means the 50mm plus whatever thickness in the tube plus the scope cap.
If you don't have the scope then give it at least 1/4 extra inch. otherwise 1/8 or so would be perfect for clearance.
Since the rail is aluminum I would go with sturdy aluminum rings for now. I would start with two but perhaps use three if the scope is heavy and large.
Bed the rail even if it is aluminum.
When you are done then plumb the entire system to adjust the scope and find the perfect alignment between bore and vertical axis in the erector tube.
I know you know the level system doesn't work.
It is a shame when people demanding tolerance, have no tolerance

Previously purchased scope. New rifle. Trying to make it work. Might just go with a different scope for the time being.

Why? If you like the scope there is no reason to do that.
You are looking at a scope that is a tad over one inch tall to optical center then some popular rings might work. 50mm/2 = 25mm = almost 1 inch. Plus you need to add the thickness of the cap if you have them.
Can you measure the precise outside diameter? maybe a 26mm that is 1" measured from center would work but it might be too close.
The key is to keep it as low as possible w/o touching. Don't get a 1"1/2 AR size, that is too tall and you really want something strong that you can get down
into this rifle and drive it with easy.
I could give you a few rings to try and then if you like them you could order them but the best thing is to measure what you have precisely so you know
if there is a chance it could work. a 28mm tall ring might be perfect. something between 1.1-1.25" nothing longer I would say.
If you could measure the scope OD with the calipers then we would know.

          Scope O.D.: 2.46

          Cap O.D.: 2.42

Tried mounting the scope on 1" riser mounts. If it wasn't a 20 moa rail I'm pretty sure it would fit. The focus ring is just barely touching the hand guard rail.

With the scope at that height cheek weld isn't very good even with the comb in its lowest position. Adding more height than the minimum needed to get it to fit wouldn't be a bad thing for ergonomics.

Edit: My father got to the range with his RPR today. Still getting dialed in.
