Alright here's the deal. I heard over last couple of days employees where I work have been asked by managers if they intend to get vaccinated. Mine hasn't come to me yet.
I know my company doesn't want to mandate anything since it goes against our culture. That being said I've also heard they believe they are considered federal contractors.
I read the guidance and believe we are definitely considered federal contractors meaning that I would have until December 8th to get vaccinated (not happening) or get a limited exemption for medical or religious reasons.
Before knowing what the guidance was today by the federal workforce group I wrote up a religious exemption letter.
I'll have about a months worth of PTO saved up at that time.
Other news I haven't really shared yet since it's still early and I haven't told family yet is that it's looking like I'm going to be at Father.
What I'm looking for is anything that might help me fight this and win. Case law about religious exemption from vaccination. Recommendations for law firms to represent me if I end up losing job. Possible job leads with employers who have less then 100 employees.
Anything you think could be helpful would be appreciated.
If I end up losing my job because of this I want to fight it and I want to set precedent for others who are in the same boat.
I feel what the government is doing is wrong, illegal, and honestly doesn't make sense. They claim it's science based but maybe it's like movies that are based on a true story? Lots of added stuff that isn't real to make the story better?
I never in a million years honestly thought our country would come to this and stoop this low.
