  • Car Stereo Install

My truck only has 110,000 miles on it and it doesn't have bluetooth capabilities or an auxiliary port on the stereo. I'm hoping to put another 90k miles or more on this truck, so a stereo upgrade would be nice. There are some relatively inexpensive units with the features I want. Are they fairly easy to install? I've never done the car stereo thing before.

Talk to a competent installer first. While aftermarket rigs may be decently priced, some vehicles require ridiculously priced adapters and harnesses to complete the install. It's not like the old days of popping the old one out and popping the new one in. Some of these stereos are integrated into the "whole car" electronics (eg: the door chimes are actually piped through the stereo to the speakers, etc.). Let us know what you find out......
Beer is like porn, you can buy it but it's more fun to make your own

I have to bend over too far

    I get a boner.

bareback every couple of days, GTG. Bareback, brokeback, same $hit!

I joined a support group to help me deal with my social anxiety but I just can't seem to work up the nerve to go to a meeting......

Fingers crossed that my 2008 truck is old enough that installation isn't that complicated.

I'm intrigued by HD radio, but a receiver with HD is more expensive. Anyone on the Rochester area have HD radio and think it's worth getting?

Yet more motivation to make this truck last a long time.

Best Buy has free installation on any stereo priced $99 or higher. Their prices on stereos aren't out of line with what I'm seeing online, so I might just buy one from them and have it installed. I might finally get to put my old iPod touch to good use.

My options start right at $99 and go up from there. I'm leaning towards one that's about $130.

Anyone want to school me on podcast apps for my ipod touch?
