    In North Carolina

    I'm down here for a wedding and staying with my wife's sister's family. They live in a nice, newer neighborhood and we saw a 'for sale' sign on a house down the street a little ways. I looked up the house on Zillow. It's about twice the size of our house, priced right around 2X what our house is valued at, with right around 50% of the taxes, and a mortgage that is just a bit more than what we're paying. Factor in the lower gas prices in NC and I'd be looking at a lifestyle upgrade without making any more money if I move here. Cuomo's latest 'green new deal' nonsense means it's only going to get more expensive to live in New Yorkistan. Plus, I wouldn't be begging the state for my 2A rights and Camp Butner is about 90 minutes away.

    But who am I kidding? If I leave New York York it will obviously be because of the weather.

      We are beyond 'seriously' considering NC, Raleigh to be specific. Practically done. Add Wegmans' is opening a store in Carey, about 20 min from Butner

        Raleigh is chock full of NY liberals..... I would suggest a real red state. NC is about to become another liberal enclave like VA, CO, VT, etc., gotta hit flyover to be safe.
