  • Broke a survival knife (that Gunner gave me :( )

Gunner gave me an awesome survival knife a while back. Nice scabbard, I think G10 handles, very cool blade. Well, I tried using it to split some wood and broke the damn think Any recommendations for a survival knife that can survive a weekend with the Boy Scouts, LOL...

This thing is amazing.... Have one for myself and for the wife in her pack. I use mine religiously. Watch some YouTube videos on it. Best bag for the buck.

Look at the gerber mini axe from bear grills. It makes a lot of sense for the northern woods.

To baton wood, I would recommend using a piece of wood to hit the knife instead of a metal object. I'm not even crazy about hitting it with wood. lol Where's my ax!?!

Probably stainless steel, holds a great edge but very brittle.

I like Ontario knives. Also made locally.

I carry my Kabar with me when camping. It's ridiculously heavy, but I don't care. It's a nice peace of mind.

I have a Gerber LMF infantry survival knife, pretty solid and durable.
                  I'm confused!!!!!

I got the MK1 I believe it's a seal knife. It's more compact but has a great feel and amazing balance.

I have that too. I love that knife. Just know that it has a rat tail tang. I have yet to fully abuse it so I don't kow the impact of that. But I love that knife.

Becker BK2 is pretty much indestructible.

Yeah, that's a sweet knife. I think you pretty much can't go wrong in the under$100 Knife category. Can't beat Kabar!
