Sorry Dave......I did bump into warfab and wander around with him a bit.
Beer is like porn, you can buy it but it's more fun to make your own

I have to bend over too far

    I get a boner.

bareback every couple of days, GTG. Bareback, brokeback, same $hit!

I joined a support group to help me deal with my social anxiety but I just can't seem to work up the nerve to go to a meeting......

A lot more women in attendance since the last time the show was at the dome. I was also surprised to see some kids with their parents. I ran into one of the ESACA bigwigs as I was leaving and asked him about the age rules. He said they changed the age restrictions while the show was in Hemlock to make it more of a family friendly event. He then mentioned he saw some guy carrying around a very young child in a baby carrier and disgustedly described the guy in profane terms for doing so. At that point I decided not to mention I would have brought my 2 year old if I'd known kids were allowed.

The place was packed, and occasionally a person or group of persons would decide to spend extra time interacting with a vendor. Sure that's part of the buying process, but it totally holds up the flow of people and also makes it so you never get to see some of the stuff being sold unless you're willing to wait around for 15 minutes.

The one time the line got held up a bit by a few guys right near me. They were at a table that had NYS compliant black rifles and the one guy was holding up an AR10 and explaining some very basic concepts about the rifle to one of his friends. All 3 of the guys looked like they were in their mid 20s and the guy talking was speaking in heavily accented English. I couldn't really place the accent, but my guess is it was something eastern European. The conversation went something like "This shoots .308, but it's semi-automatic. Do you want semi-automatic, or bolt action? Bolt action, you know like.....<moves hand pretending to operate bolt>". So my impression based on what I saw was that the guy who was talking was helping his friend (who didn't say much) pick out a rifle, and his friend didn't know very much about rifles or the English language. It seemed a bit curious to me, but I wasn't curious enough to wait around and see if the guy passed his NICS check.

You say that like it's a bad thing. Many people consider it their lucky day when they see me.

I didn't see you but I did see Liberty's Teeth, of course there was no way I could get across the room to say Hi.

That said, in their defense, they probably had NO idea how huge the turnout would be.
That's why I don't bother going to the shows anymore. Throw in the fact that I hate crowded places, and it's a great big nope for me.
