Got a stellar Cyber Monday price from Brownell's so I gave them a try.

Installed them on the G19:

This is a "rear sight only" arrangement, you can completely remove the front sight because it's not needed. I'm not one for gimmicks and everything else I own has Tru-Glow 3 dots but this setup intrigued me so I figured I'd try it out. The sight picture is a simple large dot, when a correct sight picture is attained a solid ring appears around the dot:







Being both tritium and fiber optic, the brightness is the same whether in blinding sunlight or total darkness (which is pretty cool). The "dot" is quick to acquire and as long as you can see the dot, regardless of whether it's centered in the circle or not, from 10 yards it will hit somewhere on a torso-sized target (even this crappy sight picture will result in a hit somewhere within a 24" x 24" box at 10 yards):

It comes with a tool to install it (just a torx wrench):

Just punch out the craptastic stock plastic rear sight and this one slides in freely. Tighten the 2 set screws and away you go.

I ran it at the CCW shoot tonight and hit what I was aiming at, will get to the range and poke some paper to determine how it prints point of aim vs point of impact. Stay tuned.....

Range report: Spent a couple hours at the range with these sights today.....not happy. With my astigmatism I am forced to close one eye to get a clear sight picture, I have the same problem with red dot sights on a rifle (I see a small cluster of dots instead one sharply defined dot). I shoot every other handgun I own with both eyes open (3 dot sights) and have no issues so these are being replaced with standard 3 dot night sights.

It's really a shame too, I like this sight picture, the dot is super-fast to acquire, and as long as the dot is on the target somewhere you'll hit what your pointing at. Although I am not a bullseye shooter, I do like knowing that I can slow down, concentrate, and blow the center out of a target at 7-10 yards....can't do that with these due to my defective eyeballs.

Just saw one of these in person for the first time. Didn't try aiming with it, but through the display case glass it looked really slick. Bummed to hear it didn't work out for Thug.
